Consummation

All endings lead to new beginnings. The final chapter of the Bible is no different. Only this ending, this "happily ever after" goes on for eternity. God balances the scales, cleans the slates, vanquishes sins, and sets shalom to reign. The new heavens and new earth are the glorious destination of our earthly pilgrimmage. God gives us glimpses here and now, and calls us to enjoy the journey.
